چکیده

Lead (Pb) has been proved to exert adverse effect on human cardiovascular system. However, the cardiotoxicity of Pb children is still unclear. The aim this study was evaluate left ventricular (LV) structure and function, by using echocardiographic indices, in order elucidate low-grade inflammation related ventricle healthy preschool children. We recruited a total 486 children, 310 from Guiyu (e-waste-exposed area) 176 Haojiang (reference area). Blood levels, complete blood counts, LV parameters were evaluated. Associations between levels peripheral leukocyte counts analyzed linear regression models. median level white cells (WBCs), monocytes, neutrophils higher exposed group. In addition, group showed smaller (including interventricular septum, posterior wall, mass index) impaired systolic function fractional shortening ejection fraction) regardless gender. After adjustment for confounding factors, elevated significantly associated with WBCs neutrophils, lower parameters. Furthermore, WBCs, negatively correlated Taken together, found e-waste-exposed chronic levels. It indicates that heart health at risk due long-term environmental chemical insults.

Regular Breakfast and Blood Lead Levels among Preschool Children

BACKGROUND Previous studies have shown that fasting increases lead absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of adults. Regular meals/snacks are recommended as a nutritional intervention for lead poisoning in children, but epidemiological evidence of links between fasting and blood lead levels (B-Pb) is rare. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between eating a regular break...
